Last week I finished a new batch of girl sock monkeys in new sundresses! Nadia, Courtney and Celeste wear cute summer dresses made from designer cotton fabrics by Alexander Henry, Rowan and Windham Fabrics. There’s a toadstools black dress, a paisley mint dress and a street sign red dress. These fashion sock monkeys are ready to hit your town where new adventures await them! I found a great sock monkey to match the newly designed mushroom sundress! Neve Mars Sock Monkey is made from a pair of white socks with thin purple, blue, silver and yellow stripes. Besides wearing a cute dress she also comes with a matching bow to adorn her head. She’s a doll! I lover her. :)

Here’s something I’d never made for a sock monkey before. It’s a knit romper with a pocket on the front, buttons on the strap and 2 smaller pockets on the back! This cool idea came from my Mom. She thought shorts would be perfect for summer and she’s right. Wearing a hoodie in the summer would be way too hot.
The best part about making this new piece of clothing was that it was very similar to knitting a sock. Using the “turning the heel” technique on the back made a nice little pouch for the monkey’s bottom. ;)

I’m back home from a great vacation to two of my favorite destinations: London and El Paso. I picked up some yarn and trim at Liberty in Oxford Street, craft bows and satin roses from The Make Lounge and socks from TOPMAN and the Camden Lock Market. In Texas, I visited Hobby Lobby for some stationary, stickers and more bows.
I had so much fun while I was away, but it feels good to be back home with all my supplies! I was also happy to see Anita, Andre and Bunny patiently waiting for my return. They too want to travel so they can’t wait to find new loving homes. Hopefully they get to go far and wide in their lifetime. :)
